Department of Business Management
The Department of Business Management was started in the year 1974. Prof. Hari Nath Hazarika was the first Head of this Department. Initially, Prof. Hazarika was running this Department with the help of other faculties of the College. In the year 1982, Mr. Rati Kanta Pathak joined as Lecturer in the Department. Mr. Pathak left the College in September,1983. Mr Moni Ram Lahonjoined in 1984 in place of Mr. Pathak. After that Mr. Rupak Dutta joined this Department as Lecturer in the year 1987. Prof. Hari Nath Hazarika retired in the month of January, 1993 and Prof MoniramLahon had taken the charge of Head of the Department. Mr. Sarat Borah joined the Department on 12th August, 1993 as Lecturer in the post of Prof. Hari Nath Hazarika.As per rule of the State, Prof. Sarat Borah was appointed as Head of the Department in place of Mr. Moni Ram Lahonwith effect from 1st July, 2013. Due to sudden demise of Rupak Dutta on 21st July, 2013, Ms Barsha Borah was appointed as Assistant Professor on 11th June, 2014 in the post of Late Rupak Dutta.After retirement of Mr. Moni Ram Lahon, Bulbul Sahariah joined in the department on 23rd Feb, 2022.
